What means colormarks on the scrollbars?
To simplify visual representation of the differences and give you a way for easy navigation, xlCompare reflects all the differences on the scrollbars.
Look into this example:

On the image above you see vertical scrolbar of the right pane - where the data considered as new.
- Green mark - means on this place we have data which has been added to the worksheet
- Orange mark - means on this place data was changed
Also, you may get Red mark on the left scrollbars (vertical and horizontal). This means - in this place data was deleted.
